Barbara Salisbury received a Master's degree in communications photography from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in December 2002. She is currently on staff full-time at The Washington Times and also shoots freelance work.

She also shoots contract wedding photography through Jana Curcio Photography.

Freelance clients include: The Washington Post, The Star-Ledger and Getty Images. Her work has appeared in America 24/7 and Maryland 24/7.
